Crank Up Your Marketing Think Tank!

YOUR NEW TERMINOLOGY
Every bold thinking new age has its own phraseology. Your connection to the online world is moving at the speed of light. So to keep up with this fast and changing world here are a few new words to keep in mind.

THE BOUNCE UP
This is what happens if you follow our SEO, Internet Marketing, and online strategies. When you combine our methods of podcasting, blogging, RSS, web video and SEO something wonderful happens. Unlike typical SEO firms and PPC situations you will lose your rankings, (and money) within due time. But thanks to our tools WORKING TOGETHER you will experience a phenomenon called THE BOUNCE UP. Your site is transformed into this life saving life raft. You will actually go UP the search engines and most likely stay there. While other sites struggle to stay on top yours will actually do the opposite and bob up and down near the very top TEN.

MICROSIZING
In the early days of all of this I inquired help from several television recording studios for editing video. Little did I know then that these guys were going to charge me an arm and a leg for what I could do in about an hour. Seriously. So I took the best effects from digital video and editing houses and brought everything inhouse to a desktop level. I cut out all the expense, fluff and political numbness out of the experience from having to go into a studio to get something done. It is for this reason I coined this phrase.

The $6,746.00 Miracle

What will it take to get your company profitable? This paltry amount may come as a surprise to you. When you consider the expense that it takes to get your company noticed this amount seems somewhat unimportant.

Forget the following:

* Full Page Advertisements
* Pay Per Click

* Yellow Page Ads
* Radio Ads

* TV Spots

The fact that we can get a marketing message out for literal pennies on the dollar is a miracle. When you compare what we do with traditional media there is no comparison.

The amount covers all of your online media creation, products and your search engine optimization. But thats not the amazing part......

THE ORGANIC TRAFFIC DRILLDOWN
Its possible to get the right type of attention that you need to get successful. What is most surprising to most business owners is that this type of online attention can be generated FREE OF CHARGE.

There is a little known fact among some of todays top Internet marketers. That fact surrounds around a very interesting technique that allows people to actually use various news sites to promote your company. In turn, this creates thousands of free ORGANIC ONLINE TRAFFIC to your site, (this means you do not have to pay for any of these leads).

Best of all you can profit from these leads.

WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH GOOGLE'S UNIVERSAL SEARCH?

For the last week and a half I have been getting "swop" offers from nervous SEO firms in Michigan and.... quite frankly ... all over. They are trying their best to stay relevant and not lose thier rankings in the weeks to come. This brand new thing with the Google Universal Search has them all shaking in their boots for one very good reason.

They stand to lose practically everything they own in the upcoming weeks.

That is to say that this is THE END of SEO, Search Engine Optimization as we know it. And I say GOOD.

I have been waiting for this for quite some time. The search engines have stepped up to the challenge of creating a new web environment where everything is all interconnected. This is finally what everything that the web was supposed to be in the first place. This took long enough to evolve and I say lets GET ON WITH IT.....

To clear up what this means for your business we cut a recent podcast that you will find most interesting. You can listen to it here....

SEO Straight Talk - Files From The Front Lines

WEEK IN REVIEW: MAY 26, 2007
Disturbia

This week marked a significant achievement in pop culture. The Web 2.0 site YOUTUBE.COM was actually referenced in the new film, "Disturbia". Aside from being an awful motion picture, (see it at your own risk) this film was in many ways a love letter to Best Buy.

The films overall message seems to scream, "Boy, we love technology" and that itself is wrapped around a plot that is peppered with puppy dog romance and explicit violence. The film has a happy ending slapped on the end of it like a few disturbing Hitchcock films. You walk out of the experience - far from elated - but relieved that the entire ordeal is over with.

Video Company in Michigan Breaks Out of the Silence

Charged up with this new love for web video and a fascination with creating mini empires on the Internet. SEO Search Quest, (you can read about them here.... http://seostamford.blogspot.com )
have created a new video format to get your products and services out there in front of the right people. This is something the group had been talking about before......

Podcasting - audio and video clips of your services on iPODS Blog Marketing - RSS feeds and secretsSearch robot technology built right into your pages!
source: http://www.1seomichigan.com

The source for the new rebirth came from the Lloyd Kaufman book and CD series, "Make Your Own Damn Movie" which turned out to be a brilliant charge in the right direction. Taking their own spin on the process emerged a new product and service, "Make Your Own Damn TV Station" which is heavily based on th Kaufman - Troma Team Video inspiration in theory.

The five second spin on this idea is that you really can create a visual presence on the web for just $7,652.42 !!! That is peanuts compared to the monstrous 40 thousand dollar contracts that the media companies want you to sign when they put your show ...(shows ARE more expensive folks) or commercial spots on the air. No matter if it is television or radio this tends to add up very quickly. Now you can actually do it for pennies on the dollar and raise enough awareness for what you are trying to promote.

The phone number to kick start this entire process is:

New Developments in SEO in Michigan

What a day it was in the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Author and marketing expert, (see Squidoo) Seth Godin stopped by the Michigan Theater today to showcase his new book, "The Dip". This was his second stop for the day, (his first was earlier that morning in Chicago).

The topic of that book centers around the very notion of quitting some aspect of your business that is not working. The focus shifts to working with something in your business that can help establish a very unique position in the market place. This idea becomes very intriguing.

Following this 90 minute talk was a round table discussion on new web site developments. This was held at the Ann Arbor IT Zone. Amid some of the more well noted self appointed heads of SEO and Internet Marketing expertise, (see.. sponsors for recent event) were roughly 60 people from various industries.

30 minutes into the round table discussion about half of the room got up and actually left the event. This was interesting.....

But what really got my attention was how the focus of this event was centered around past data. There were no new topics here centering on how to get new customers online or how to create a natural flood of OPT IN customers.....

It was if Seth Godin had taken us out of the rut and into the future while the round table took us back in time. The mood of the room and the overall feeling made me feel as though we somehow slipped back into the year 1992. No kidding....

There was little attention spent on Internet Marketing and more time spent on definitions of terminology taken from Dictionary.com. There was little mention of anything in the realm of RSS development or traffic generation.

The advice from Pure Visibility was perhaps the most disappointing. They suggested starting grass roots groups that meet regulary for Be Bim Bop and ... stamp collecting.

Seriously.

Do you have time for that?

Getting Thousands of Visitors To Your Site

"Here's How You Can Get More Visitors To Your Site"

Are you looking to get more people to your web site? Are you looking to not have to spend a fortune to accomplish this? Well, then you are not alone. There are a few considerations you will want to make as you progress.

Here is some tips from Entrepreneur.com

Step 1: Get the traffic you need to test your website fast! When I talk about testing with new internet business owners, I hear the same two questions all the time:

How do I test my site?

What do I test on my site?

As you may already know, there are an infinite number of things you can test on your site to help you increase sales. From layout to copy to design, there are limitless combinations of changes that may improve your visitor-to-sale conversion rate. But what's "enough" when you're just starting out? What elements should you focus on testing before rolling out your traffic campaign?

My advice is to stick to the basics. Focus on testing your:

Salescopy, especially your headline, benefits, guarantee and call to action

Order process, which needs to be simple enough for a novice web user to place an order
Opt-in offer, so you can determine if you're successfully capturing your visitors' contact information

Site navigation, so you can figure out how many clicks it takes to buy. Ideally it should take less than three.

These are the four critical aspects of your sales process that need to be tested before you start driving traffic. Later on, once you've generated sales and have some steady traffic, you can move on to testing other parts of your site.

Of course, all this talk of testing your new site raises one big question: How can you test without traffic? Because if you're just getting started, chances are good that your website doesn't get much traffic yet.

The solution is simple: Buy traffic through PPC search engines.

Source: Entrepreneur.com

Does it always come back down to pay per click? This is what turns a lot of people off but it is the shortest way to get traffic to come to you.

Drawbacks:
I would caution anyone who does this without properly outfitting your site with some sort of OPT IN customer forms. There are plenty of ways that you can actually miss the flood of incoming traffic. If you are not ready to somehow trap the lead flow that comes through your site you are running the risk of throwing your money out the window.

Speed Blogging - Ramping Up Your Site

"Is It Possible To Create Mega Networks Online?"

A few days ago I posted a segment on UBER NETWORKS... and attracted the attention of author Bob Walsh, (Clear Blogging). It was a pretty unique experience to wake up one fine morning and find this in my email box.

Here is a brief recap of what we talked about......

"The particular areas of UBER BLOGGING as I call it involves the instant addition of 5,000 - 10,000 NEW fans who are absolutely wild about what you are selling or discussing online. These are FREE organic hits to your web sites and blogs. And this is daily. This is not paid traffic."

Source: http://911copywriters.blogspot.com/

I stumbled across this exciting new way of thinking by taking the examples of what Dan Kennedy said on "Building a Bigger Fence". By extending my network and I had gotten more cattle in my herd so to speak. This has opened up the door to more opportunities and new friends and fans of my work.

Incredibly, this can also open up new ops for you too. I envisioned a complex network of blogs pertaining to every facet of your company offering new information. This would accomplish two very important things.

* This would get your pages indexed in Yahoo and Google - Organically
* These techniques would help beat the high cost of indexing your pages, (paid submissions)

The first question you may have is -- "Does this stuff actually work?"

The answer is yes.

The second question you may have is -- "Will I get to the top of the search engines?"

That all depends on what you put into your pages. You see you still have to have great content in your pages to get them to get "pulled up" properly in the search engines. Your critical data has to live within the selected areas of your pages. And this is where you can blow it if you're not careful.

How To Capture Customer Information

"Capturing Customer Information: The Heart of Your Customer Base"

What are you currently doing to capture customer information?
Here are some thoughts on the subject.....

My Life81268: SEO - Crucial SEO Site Elements: "Asking yourself the following questions may help you create a web site that is nicely and organically search engine optimized and that is geared towards making the most profits. Once again, these principles are in accordance with generating multiple streams of income as this is one of the basic intents of including SEO in a web site design in the first place.
1. Where am I going to put my request for the customer's email address? Remember that if a customer visits your site without entering their email address you have not only lost an opportunity to network with them but you will have no database to sell to advertisers.

2. Where am I going to put my banners and links to affiliate programs? Remember that you don't want them to become so wowed by a banner that they forget to read about YOUR products before they click to another site.

3.Where am I going to put my book or audio store?"

Source:
http://ceri73446.blogspot.com/2007/04/seo-crucial-seo-site-elements.html

*** I left some other thoughts on this subject at:
http://911copywriters.blogspot.com

Be extra cautious when you put banners on your front page or links that invite others to CLICK OFF your site. Its like handing someone a coupon for a competitor when they walk into your store. You are immediately shoving them off to someplace else. Sadly, for a lot of unsavvy online marketers this is what tends to occur.

I have seen this type of behavior on many levels of business - small entrepreneurs, big companies and even large corporations believe it or not. In fact, I find that the more levels of middle management you have in a company the worse the online presence -- in most cases.

Too many hands in the pudding!

Build your database the smart way -- by keeping them on your pages.
